Q Mechatronics / Maintenance Technician

The Everett Community College (EvCC) Mechatronics Program trains students to be Maintenance Technicians who are responsible for keeping industrial equipment operating and repairing problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician always has a new challenge every day and does not like to do the same thing day in and day out. Average entry-level pay is $28 - $40 per hour.

Enrollment requirements are Eligibility for Math 86 (Essentials of Intermediate Algebra) and English 101 (English Composition 1). There is some math included, but it is not a math-intensive program.

Q Engineering Technology

Design your own future. Gain skills and knowledge in a variety of technical design subjects, including computer-aided design (CAD) software such as CATIA, Solid Works, and AutoCAD. Skills learned in this program are taught using applied methods where training is practical and hands-on.

Q Composites

The Composites program is a hands-on, in-depth overview of the processes involved in the development and production of composite products. Skills include tooling, fabrication, machining, assembly, quality assurance, repair, lay-up, vacuum bagging, and cure processing of wet laminating. The program is designed to prepare students to fabricate, assemble, and repair composite materials on aircraft.

Q Welding & Fabrication

EvCC's welding and fabrication program teaches all major welding and cutting processes, including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, FCAW-S, GTAW, OAC, PAC; welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum; hand and machine torch cutting; and field welding techniques. Unique to EvCC, the welding program includes fabrication techniques.

This series of classes includes heavy plate fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, pipefitting and pipe systems fabrication, structural steel fabrication, and field-welding techniques. Extensive classes in Blueprint Reading, Layout, and Metallurgy are also offered.

Welding classes are offered both days and evenings.
